When I started Herr Beauty in 2020, it wasn’t just about lashes. It was about taking my power back at a time when everything felt out of control.
The world had just shut down. I was a single parent, balancing it all with very little time and even less energy. My beauty routine? Gone. And I hated how that made me feel. I didn’t need a full glam squad. I just wanted a few minutes where I could look in the mirror and feel like me again.
That’s where it all started.
The “aha” moment
I remembered watching a video back in 2008. Esther Bolkin (GladGirl Founder) was applying lashes under the lash line on her customers. It stuck with me. So I started playing with the idea. What if I could bring that concept to life and make it faster, easier, and actually wearable for everyday women like me?
After months of research, testing, and a whole lot of trial and error, the HerrLash DIY Lash Extension System was born. It became the first Canadian-based system of its kind. No salon. No appointments. Just real results you could apply at home on your own time.

It wasn’t always easy
After we launched, the pressure came in fast. We were a small Canadian brand doing something new and not everyone liked that. We were even asked to rename some of our lash styles because they were "too close" to names owned by a much bigger brand.
Instead of backing down, I leaned in.
I didn’t build Herr Beauty to compete with anyone else. I built it for women who needed options. Women like me who wanted the freedom to feel good without losing hours or money on a beauty routine that didn’t work for real life.
We’re still growing
Since then, we’ve added Lash Quickies. These are pre-glued underlash segments that take three minutes or less to apply. We are always listening to what you need next.
Every product we create, every tutorial we film, every lash quiz we share, all of it connects back to one goal. Beauty should fit your life, not the other way around.
